Fashionplay #6 modevandring was an organized open house at several designers studios all around Stockholm during one weekend and an exhibition featuring the same. Inspires by the situationists city walks or derives we created the poster/catalogue/invitation for the events and the exhibition design.

Workshop/Work out at Adamsky Agency with Ellinor Eklund and Lina Åberg. The inspiration for the workshop was a text from the book On the Spiritual In Art from 1912 by Wissily Kandinsky. Our interpretation of the text can be read in Swedish below.

- En stor spetsig triangel, uppdelad i olika fält med den minsta och spetsigaste uppåt och ju längre ned desto större och bredare och högre blir fälten.
Hela triangeln rör sig långsamt, nästan omärkligt framåt och uppåt; där den högsta punkten "i dag" befinner sig, dit når nästa fält "i morgon". Det som idag endast är begripligt för det översta fältet är för hela den övriga triangeln endast gallimatias tills imorgon.
På det översta fältets spets står ibland en enda som ser, helt ensam. Hennes jublande vision motsvaras av en lika omåttlig sorg. Inte ens de som står henne närmast förstår henne. Upprörda kallar de henne svindlare och dårhuskanditat.
Missbrukar hon den klara blicken - eller låter hon blicken vika undan - då blir hon också fullständigt förstådd och hyllad av sina gelikar och fler förstår hennes språk men triangeln tycks då stå stanna upp eller till och med börja röra sig bakåt och nedåt. Under dessa perioder sätter människorna sitt högsta pris på yttre framgångar, de intresserar sig uteslutande för det materiella och för teknikens framsteg. De kroppsliga krafterna underskattas.
För att mana triangeln uppåt och framåt igen måste hon förneka allt det som nyss kändes rimligt och förnuftigt och tilltalande och istället låta det undermedvetna spontana ta kontrollen över kropp och själ i en automatisk work out.

Ellinor Eklund and curator Maria Bogren grew up at the island Gotland and Helga Sif Gudmundsdottir is from Iceland. Growing up on an islands was the startingpoint for the exhibition. In the creation of the graphical concept for the exhibition made in collaboration with Lina Åberg we were inspired by old travelogues from far away mythical islands and each two artwork got their own symbol.

In the 1880s scientists and psychologists experimented with colour therapy. By 1938 you could buy several devices for chromo-therapy such as the Emesay, Kromayer, Alpine Sun, Helion, Chromoclast and Spectro-Chrome. This short film is a modern TV-version for chromo-therapy. It is a room painted in different colors, one after the other, created to cure depressions and stress in large amount of people at the same time.

In 1946 the American authorities found chromo-therapy to be “ineffective and worthless” and the inventor of the Spectro-Chrome, Colonel Dinshah P Ghadiali was thrown in prison for quackery. This is an image of the Spectro-Chrome.
